The evening group had an interesting session last night learning about colour mixing. One of the exercises we did was to find a colourful newspaper advert and tear it in a diagonal and glue it onto watercolour paper with a gap between the pieces.
The challenge then was to fill the gap with exactly the right tone and hue of colour that we mixed up in our palettes using just the primary colours. Our test mixes were kept with notes on a separate sheet for future reference.
We explored different ideas, learnt a lot, amazed ourselves along the way & had great fun in the process. Our thanks to Louise Barson Artist for leading us on the journey
