This session members asked for the topic of how to draw/paint glass to be covered. It will be led by members Louise and Sue who will share some tips on drawing and painting glass objects.  We will all spend the session drawing and/or painting the glass items that you bring along to the session along with your pencils and also your chosen painting medium and paper.

Update : Briefly the session covered observation, observation, observation….. of shapes and tones within an object.  Most members agreed at the session that it was the thought that glass was difficult to create that had led them not to have tackled it before. By breaking it down into shapes. patterns and tones they had enjoyed the process. Plus using a white cloth or piece of paper underneath the glass and/or using coloured liquid to increase the interesting shadows as well as setting up a single light source had made the process easier. Here are some of the glass studies from the evening.
