About Us

Started in 2014 the main aim of Woodsmoor Artists group is to develop the artistic abilities, skill & interests of the individual, and the group, in a supportive environment. Members produce artwork across all mediums and in a wide range of styles.

Whether you like to paint or draw, or both; our Tuesday evening sessions at and our Wednesday morning sessions at Dialstone Methodist Church are held on 46 weeks of the year.

Sessions & Events

Our membership covers all abilities and ages, sharing a love of art and a desire to grow. They create art work across watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel, graphite and mixed media. Artists should be aware that no formal instruction/tuition is given but members share skills and knowledge with each other and we do have sessions led by professional local artists throughout the year.

7pm to 9.30pm

Following the success of the morning session an evening session commenced in October 2016 for those unable to attend during the day.

9.30am to noon

The morning group started in 2014 and is made up of members who have daytime availability.

Special Events

Exhibitions of members’ work are held in spring and autumn and all members are encouraged to take part.

Woodsmoor Artists held its’ inaugural Art Trail around Old Stockport in June/July 2017.
The club regularly attends the Woodsmoor Classic Car Show on August Bank Holiday Monday.
